Renovação de Apartamento na Baixa do Porto (PT) | Apartamento localizado numa das artérias urbanas centrais da cidade do Porto, num edifício datado de 1967, caracteristicamente compartimentado em: três quartos, três instalações sanitárias, lavandaria aberta ao exterior, sala de estar, sala de jantar, espaço de circulação e hall de entrada, três espaços exteriores (pequenas varandas) e cozinha.
A forte compartimentação pré-existente, constringia os espaços interiores diminuindo a perceção da incidência da luz solar e do ambiente/envolvente exterior, sendo necessário um melhoramento pela alteração da distribuição espacial, optando-se pelos espaços flexíveis – open space e continuidades espaciais. Deste modo, a cozinha, sala de estar, sala de jantar e espaço de entrada/recepção interligam-se num espaço amplo e luminoso, aumentando a perceção do exterior/envolvente.
Apesar da existência de vários vãos de grandes dimensões nos compartimentos principais, que possibilitam a entrada de luz solar de orientação Nascente / Poente nos espaços interiores, é pela transformação do apartamento que se denota uma maior amplitude, potenciando uma maior perceção da habitação e valorizando a sua habitabilidade.
Apartment Renovation in Downtown Porto (ENG) | Apartment located in a central urban connection of Porto city, in a building dating from 1967, characteristically compartmentalized in: three bedrooms, three sanitary units, laundry open to the exterior, living room, dining room, circulation space and entrance hall, three outdoor spaces (small balconies) and kitchen.
The strong pre-existing compartmentalization constricted the interior spaces reducing the perception of the sunlight incidence and the exterior surroundings, requiring an improvement by changing the spatial distribution, opting for flexible spaces - open spaces – and their spatial continuities. With this; the kitchen, living room, dining room, and entrance/reception spaces are interconnected into a large and bright space, increasing the exterior urban surroundings perception.
Despite the existence of several large openings in the main compartments, which allows the entrance of East / West sunlight into the interior spaces, it is through the apartment transformation/renovation that a greater amplitude is achieved, enhancing a greater perception of interior/exterior space, valuing its habitability character.
